2 Place Living

If you are a resident student on campus or have your own apartment you know how it feels to live in two places at once. Although it is great to have the freedom to be living on your- the major down side is having two separate living places hundreds or even thousands of miles away from each other.

All the bags I take to Albany with me.

Although the house I grew up in is only an hour and a half away, that 90 minute journey matters once you realized you forgot something at home. This is the case, as I am sure many of you have noticed, when you can not find a specific shirt or pair of shoes. As you frantically search through your room in Albany, you have that sinking “a-ha” moment of realizing its in your other room. It is times like these, most recently when I could not find my blue Converse, that I wish I went to school 10 minutes away from my home but that feeling quickly vanishes.

Long story short it is great to have two closets as long as they are in the same house or in my case at least the same state. Living in two spaces has also made me realize that packing matters and my mom is justified in asking a 100 questions about what is and what is not in my suit case.
