“Hi! I’m the E-Media Coordinator for The College of Saint Rose. My job is to help organize, monitor, and create content for the College’s social media sites. I graduated with my BS in communication from Fredonia State University in ’09, and received my MA in the same field from Saint Rose in ’11. For the most part I will be putting together and monitoring the blog- but I may have an occasional post! Aside from social media, my interests include cooking, biking, and getting around Albany on my scooter.

Jane Gottlieb- “Good to Know” series
“Good to Know is a series of posts about Saint Rose, academic and otherwise. ‘Good’ will also be used to alert readers to longer stories that will be posted on the College web site. Writer Jane Gottlieb works in the Office of Public Relations and Strategic Communications and writes the alumni magazine.”
“I am an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at The College of Saint Rose. I recruit within the states of Connecticut, Vermont, and Rhode Island. I am also the social media representative for the Undergraduate Admissions office. In my spare time I enjoy running and being outdoors. I like to play/watch just about every sport. My teams are: NY Giants, Boston Celtics, NY Mets, Boston Bruins and Boston College Football (quite the line up, I’m aware). I love to laugh and I have a huge guilty pleasure for shopping.”
Maria Kessler McShare- “Tales from the Archives”
“Tales for the Archives is a series of posts about the history and heritage of the College. Writer Maria Kessler McShane is the College Archivist and a reference librarian. The Archives Research Room is located on the 3rd floor of the Neil Hellman Library.”
“I came to Saint Rose in March of 2006, making this my sixth year working as a Student Solution Center Representative here at the College. I graduated from Siena College with a BA in philosophy and I’m currently pursuing an MSED in educational psychology at Saint Rose. When I’m not working or reading for class, I stay busy leading the Schenectady Pipe Band and trying to stop my wife from buying us a puppy (she keeps sending me Adopt a Lab pictures). Update: my wife won the puppy battle.”
“In 2012 Dr. Szczerbacki assumed the role as ninth president of The College of Saint Rose. Prior to that, he served as provost and vice president for academic affairs, a position he held since joining the College in 2004. Dr. Szczerbacki earned his doctoral degree in policy studies from SUNY Buffalo, and he holds a master’s degree in urban systems and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Gannon University. He enjoys reading and started the blog series ‘Read with President Szczerbacki’ to share this passion with others. Some of his favorite things include walking, gardening, politics and public policy, hot and spicy foods, spending time with family and friends, ice hockey and (he is sad to say) the Buffalo Bills.”
