Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Author: Tylor Duguay

Hello! My Name is Tylor Duguay and I am an undergraduate student here at Saint Rose. I am originally from Glens Falls, NY, or as we like to call it; G.F. Nation. Glens Falls is about an hour or so north of the College. It's technically a "city" but compared to Albany its quite minuscule. I spend most of my time cliff jumping and boating on Lake George. Along side with my crazy summer adventures, I have been a competitive swimmer for over five years competing all over the North East. It's been a lot of hard work but I am now honored to announce my signing on to the Saint Rose Swim Team, and with that I conclude with my eagerness, and downright excitement to pursue my career as a GOLDEN KNIGHT!

Getting out there

I knew I would have my roommate, and a couple people I knew from back home but I was still nervous. The way I looked at it was; I’m just a tiny little freshman walking onto campus among a couple thousand…

“A New Meaning for Columbus Day Weekend”

Many people across the country and elsewhere celebrate the anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas, which happened on October 12, 1492, as a holiday or official celebration. Or at least this used to be the case, so forget everything you learned in elementary school and listen up. As a new college student Columbus Day has a whole new…
