Favorite websites for when I’m stressed or need a laugh

I’ve already written a post about not letting stress get to you during the semester. In that post, I included some ways to deal with stress. Today, I’m back with some of my favorite websites to visit when I’m stressed or just need a laugh.

Pandora – If you haven’t used Pandora yet, I highly suggest it! Pandora allows you to listen to music for free online. But, there’s a twist. You enter in the artists/bands you like and Pandora plays songs that are similar to those artists/bands. It’s a great way to discover new music.

Hyperbole and a Half – This blog makes me laugh every time. Hyperbole and a Half recounts past experiences of blogger Allie Brosh. Brosh draws pictures and tells stories that always get me laughing. I recommend reading two of her most popular posts: Sneaky Hate Spiral and This is Why I’ll Never be an Adult.

YouTube – Do I even need to tell you about YouTube? There are countless videos on YouTube that are sure to get you laughing. Looking for a hilariously cute video? Check out baby Emerson, who is terrified whenever his mother blows her nose.

Pinterest – This website is a recent discovery of mine. Pinterest is an online pinboard. You search the website for things that inspire you and add them to your online pinboard. There are photos of everything from home décor to food to nature. It’s free to join, but you must request an invitation first.

StudyBlue – If you get stressed out when studying for a test, sign up for a free account on StudyBlue. StudyBlue lets you make online flashcards (you can even add photos or audio). You can also take notes on StudyBlue and prepare for exams with personalized practice quizzes. And the best part is that you can use StudyBlue on your phone with free mobile apps.

What do you think about these websites? Let me know in the comments below! And if you have a suggestion to add to this list, please leave a comment!
