Class year: 2018
Major: Business Administration
Favorite study spot: Library
Favorite food: Chicken & Broccoli Alfaro
Most memorable moment from HS: “Winning back-to-back conference championships my junior and senior year of high school.”
What set SR apart from other schools: “The size of the school, community feel to the area and opportunity to go to Albany and experience new things.”
Why SR basketball: “I knew it was going to be a young team and the coach really pursued me and made me feel wanted. It was an opportunity for me to get experience
playing early in my college career.”
How’d you got involved: “I grew up around it (basketball). My family played sports as well which made me want to get better. My first game was when I was nine. I wasn’t forced to play it; I just did and found a natural love for it.”
My Comments/ takeaway from interview: Greenwood is a very skilled player from what I’ve seen. He’s had to adjust to playing Point Guard when he’s played Shooting Guard his whole life. He is confident going forward and happy with the team’s progress so far. He’s happy with his teammates and believes they have truly helped him develop as a person and basketball player. “It’s not like high school, everyone is good. We all push each other to get better. They’ve helped me learn to embrace my mistakes and learn from them,” Greenwood said. He’s very excited for the opportunity and to be a part of a competitive team here. They have a very young team (10 of 15 are first year students) If they all stick together, continue to work hard, and push each other, the sky’s the limit for this group of young and talented athletes.
