Most memorable moment or game: “We beat Chestnut Hill, we won 11-10. They were ranked 8th in the USILA D2 poll. It was a great feeling. It was nice beating a young, respected, and talented team when it was our first year as a program.”

What set SR apart from other schools:
“Small tight-knit community feel to it and I like how everything is close together. I liked the small classes because you get more one on one attention.”

Why SR Lacrosse:
“It was a new program here and I really enjoyed the recruiting process and liked the coaches a lot. I instantly fell in love with the campus.”

How’d you got involved:
“Everyone in my family played sports, they have been a big part of my life growing up. I was in 4th grade and in my P.E. class they were giving out info flyers for LaGrange Lacrosse Youth Program. I had been playing soccer and basketball and I just fell in love with the fast pace nature and excitement of lacrosse.”

My Comments/ takeaway from the interview: Pat has been part of this program since it first began. He is in his last year with the lacrosse team. He has given this program all he has to offer and put a tremendous amount of effort into making this a well established team. “From my freshman year we’ve grown a lot as a team. I’ve been with the same group of seniors since my freshman year and we’re all hard workers dedicated to this team. Everyone here is real supportive, we’re all there for each other and it’s conducive to improving as a team. I have an optimistic outlook on this upcoming season. I feel good going forward, it being my last season, because we are all hard workers,” Sunday had to say. Pat Sunday has not only put effort into helping out his teammates, but has also taken on the role of building a better community for the people of Saint Rose. Sunday has become a role model in the Saint Rose community.
