Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Greetings! :)

Why hello there! 🙂

For those of you who may not know, my name is Genevieve Diller, and I am a new blogger for the College of Saint Rose! I am majoring in Music Education with a concentration in Voice (AKA I sing classical music). Basically the things I will be blogging about will have to do with the music department  with things such as performances, my voice teacher Heidi Skok, (she can be a wee bit intense), my friends in the music department, and performances/solos that I will be preparing for. On top of all that, I have a life outside of the music department, which includes some of the greatest friends I’ve ever made. I’ll also be blogging about the relationships I’ve made on campus, including the friendships I’ve made, relationships with faculty, and relationships with my parents and family. All of these things contribute to a college education, so they will all be included!

The most amazing thing that I’ve experienced at Saint Rose is the people that I’ve met here. I am so lucky to have made such amazing friends and to have the relationships I have. The faculty here have also made me feel very welcome; I couldn’t have asked for better mentors.

The great thing about college is that you meet all of these different people who come from completely different worlds, and all of a sudden, you become a part of their world, and they become a part of yours. And then you get to thinking, “What if I didn’t go to this school? I would never have met these people!” I don’t know, I just think it’s great how a college can bring together such great people. Personally, it just makes me appreciate the notion that everything happens for a reason.

Well, that’s all I have to post for now! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog! I’ll see you next time!

Best Wishes!
