Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Inside look

My Name is Tylor Duguay and I am a freshman here at Saint Rose. I live in Brubacher Hall (which is rumored to be haunted…but I’ll keep you updated on that…). I was recruited to come to Saint Rose for swimming, but I secretly had already planned on coming here! Right now I am a student within the business administration program with a concentration in marketing. Now, don’t be fooled– it may sound like I know what I want to do, but really I have no idea. My dream job, although very impractical, would have to be a professional skydiver where I would take pictures of large cities and towns for postcards, etc. But my parents won’t hear of that. I guess it’s not an actual job? Anyways, for now I’m focusing on school, and swimming! Swimming has been a big part of my life. I have been competitively swimming for about five years now, competing all over the Northeast! Although swimming does control a large aspect of my life I do manage to have some fun. Throughout the summers I spend my days on Lake George boating, swimming (a.k.a floating with a life jacket), tubing, water skiing (a.k.a falling), wake boarding (a.k.a watching from the boat), and cliff jumping!

Now, as we all know Albany is nothing like Lake George, and that is exactly why I chose Saint Rose. I felt as though I was ready for a change, and although I am only an hour away (which is actually quite convenient) when I’m on campus either hanging out with the team, friends, or walking to class, for all I know I could be 20,000 miles away. Now all I have to do is get used to the dining hall food, and my life here at Saint Rose will be on its way

Catch ya next week!
