Over the past few years, my roommates and I have all accumulated quite a holiday decoration or two. We have them for just about every holiday, however, each holiday is misrepresented in comparison to our collection of Christmas decorations. We’ve “borrowed” old Christmas decorations from home, purchased them off the sale rack on December 26, and received them in much appreciated care packages. Until now, we each had one small dorm room to decorate, but now that we have an entire apartment to decorate, we’re going all out!
Our Supply list includes, but is DEFINITELY not limited to:
- 7 miniature Christmas trees (yes, there are 4 of us and we have 7 trees.)
- 3 strands of colorfullights (which are allowed in dorms from November 1- January 1)
- a TON of window clings (many of them courtesy of my packages from Nana!)
- stockings
- ornaments
- door hanging
- other random items that we’ll find as we continue to unpack.
We’re big fans of procrastination and decoration in my apartment. It makes our space really feel like home and we always have a good laugh as we try to untangle lights and hand things on the wall…. the challenge is that we don’t want things to be crooked!
