Laughing, Sneezing, and Kayaking- Fall C.L.A.S.S.I.C. 2013

This was our backyard for the weekend!

Over the weekend I, along with well over 100 other Saint Rose students, attended Fall C.L.A.S.S.I.C which is a sort of leadership retreat that allows students to take a weekend off from their busy schedules in a scenic location (although allergies were an issue).

Being part of The Student Association Executive Board I was lucky enough to get to go down to Silver Bay, where the event is hosted ,Thursday night and hang out with my five other officers as we got things ready for the rest of the students to arrive Friday afternoon. Once the students arrived sessions began as well as the opportunity for free time activities. My favorite activity of the weekend was during free time as there were many things to do in the absolutely perfect weather. Options ranged from archery to kayaking on Lake George and I with the rest of the SA board opted for the latter. I will admit that most of us were a little too confident in our aquatic skills when we decided to try and kayak across the lake as most of us had very little experience navigating our little kayaks in the water. Thankfully we all made it back to shore alive if not a little wet and we continued with our weekend. Other highlights included a haunted trail, karaoke, and bonfires.

All in all the weekend was a perfect experience and I can not tell if my core is sore from laughing, sneezing, or kayaking.
