Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Monday’s Muse

Today I will keep my muse short and sweet and hopefully enjoyable by giving you something stimulating for your eyes…

All of us counselors are still peddling away at our travel schedules, I hope to have a list of college fairs for you all to see soon, so you know where we’ll be on the road! We have another summer open house this Thursday and as always we’re excited to welcome a new group of students and their families to campus! Don’t forget to “like” and check for updates on the Undergraduate Admissions Facebook page.

Today’s a gorgeous day in Albany so I figured I would head out on a stroll of campus and take some pretty pictures for you all to see!

With everyone moving back to campus soon I’ve been thinking a lot about my time in college. As you may or may not know I am a Saint Rose alum (Class of 2010, woot-woot!!!). So I figured I’d start with a flashback from the past…my sophomore year of college was spent in this very building:

I loved this old house. I lived here with two other girls and many good memories were had! I just looked for a picture from my sophomore year but I’ll save myself the embarrassment.

It’s funny how the times have changed, fast forward four years and walk half a block up Madison Avenue, cross the street and here I am now, with a “real person job” working in this charming office!

Ok…enough of me reveling in my past. Can I give a quick shout out to the buildings and grounds crew on campus, these guys and girls do an amazing job of keeping our campus looking beautiful! No but seriously, these flowers look amazing. Nothing puts a smile on my face like some beautiful flowers. (*COUGH*My office address is online…1-800-FLOWERS delivers every day, I love tulips and daisies and well really anything *COUGH* sorry, I must have something in my throat)

I will end with my last but favorite picture of the day. I have been peeking my head into the new Huether School of Business daily, which isn’t technically open until the semester begins, but I can’t help myself. I always mention on my tours that I LOVE how Saint Rose always seems to tie the old in with the new with any of our new buildings and it really is one of my favorite things about our campus. Well they really hit the nail on the head in this building. They kept most or all of the old stained glass in this new building and it’s absolutely beautiful!

Hope you enjoyed my quick photo montage and I hope everyone had a great weekend. Happy Monday!
