Yesterday, Tuesday, April 10, I (blissfully unaware) participated in One Day Without Shoes. Going into it I did not know more than that the goal was to “raise awareness” for how many people in the world don’t have shoes. Turns out this whole day is put on by TOMS shoes. You may have heard them, complimented them, or even supported them. I try to educate myself and still I am smacked in the face by my own ignorance every day. PLEASE take the few minutes to watch this video, a counter-campaign to One Day Without Shoes. It provides (seemingly logical) eye-opening facts that I’ve been missing all along. WATCH IT, EDUCATE YOURSELF.
