Orientation 2012 Welcome Video…..PLUS THE BLOOPERS!!

Hello Everybody!! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I had the opportunity to be an Orientation Leader this summer and got to meet the Class of 2016! Overall, I had an amazing experience and I can’t wait to see them in the fall. During orientation, all the Orientation Leaders made a hilarious welcome video to show the Class of 2016 and their families. Now here is a chance for EVERYBODY to see the video and see it AGAIN and AGAIN. I promise one thing though; YOU WILL LAUGH!!

Did you enjoy that video? Do you want to see more? Well guess what? WE’VE GOT BLOOPERS AND DELETED SCENES! Here are some funny clips that we couldn’t fit into the video! ENJOY!!

Well I hope you enjoy both videos! This has honestly been a memorable summer and I will miss working with all of the Orientation Leaders! They are all AWESOME! Until next time!

I found the video amusing. However, there are some glaring errors in the text which is underneath the first video. “We GOT bloopers and deleted scenes.” (How about “We’ve got or we have…” Also, “Here IS just some funny clips that we couldn’t fit into the video.” (should be “Here ARE some funny clips…” If this was written by a person majoring in Education, I fear for our future!

Hi Carole- Thank you for taking the time to explore our blog and for your comment. The blog has grown a lot in the past six months and it’s great seeing the number of alumni who have taken an interest in reading.

I understand your points about the grammar on this post. We try to keep a pretty informal atmosphere on the blog, which may account for the informal language seen here. Knowing Myles, he probably quickly put this together to share, as he is an active student who, even in the summer, is very busy. I can say without a doubt that Myles is an extremely bright student and I have no doubts about his future as a teacher.

Thank you again for reading (and watching!) and I hope that you continue to explore what we have on here.

Kayla, Thank you for your reply. I think there is a difference between being informal and being incorrect. Being in a hurry is no excuse for poor grammar. I firmly believe that nothing should ever be published without first proofreading. When I was still teaching, I was appalled at some of the spelling and grammar used by some of the younger teachers. “Artic” and “Me and My Friends” were just two of the errors posted on bulletin boards or sent home in newsletters for all to see. I realize that I will be seen as “old school,” but I think we need to expect more from our teachers.
