Reach Out Saint Rose

What is Reach Out Saint Rose?

Reach Out Saint Rose is a day of community service where hundreds of students, faculty, staff and alumni at Saint Rose volunteer at various places in the capital region. This year, over 700 people participated. Volunteers were sent all over the region to places like Habitat for Humanity, the Regional Food Bank, Community Gardens, Underground Rail Road sites, and more.

What did we do?

My friends and I volunteered at the Crailo State Historic Site in Rensselaer, NY. They were in need of some serious help with their “break room,” which was more like a storage disaster area when we started. We particularly like seeing the before and after photos. It shows that our work paid off!

It took the four of us about 3 hours, but we finished the task! We had some fun along the way, too! After we finished, we got to tour around the museum a bit. It was great being able to help them out and they were super excited to have us there. They had pictures of us on their facebook page before we were home.

"Danny, you missed a spot!"

"HUH?"

We're so strong.... NOT.
