Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

It’s Relay Season!

Relay for Life is a 12-hour event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to raise money and awareness to fight cancer. It happens every year on the campus quad at the end of April (sharing the weekend with Rose Rock) and is a fantastic event to be part of.

relayThis year will be my third year participating in Relay for Life and I have had the pleasure of being part of the Colleges Against Cancer which plans the entire event. Colleges Against Cancer, the on-campus organization that sponsors Relay, is one of the largest clubs on campus and has a pretty diverse collection of students.  Each year Relay For Life gets bigger and better! I really enjoy getting to work with other students from different backgrounds to make Relay fantastic.

There are many ways to get involved in Relay For Life here at The College of Saint Rose. You can join a team and participate in Relay, you can join CAC and help with all the aspects that make up Relay For Life, or you can attend one of many events throughout this semester that will donate proceeds to Relay For Life.
