Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

See you soon DC! Thanks for a great summer.

Hi Everyone!  Hope you’re having a great week so far!  Work is quiet today.  My boss and the majority of the people on our floor all flew out to Michigan this morning for the Board Meeting.  It’s hard to believe that we’ve been preparing for this meeting all summer and now it’s here.  It was sad saying goodbye yesterday.  Everyone at the Legal Services Corporation has been wonderful to me this summer.  It was an honor getting to work with them.

Last night, CJ and I went out to dinner at the same place we went our first night in DC.  After, we walked to the White House like we did that first night as well.  It doesn’t seem real that two months have gone by already.  Tonight and tomorrow will be busy with seeing friends before I leave.  Tonight, I’m going out with a couple of the interns and then there’s a group going to karaoke which should be fun.  Tomorrow night, practically everyone that I have mentioned in a blog post this summer is getting together for dinner.  I’m the first out of the group to leave, but hopefully everyone will stay in touch.

Leaving DC on Saturday will be bittersweet.  It has been an incredible summer, but I am excited to have some time at home before I leave for school.  My family and I are really close and this is the longest that I have gone without seeing everyone.  I already have plans to go over to my grandparents house for breakfast on Sunday!

Next week, I am going to volunteer at Camp Guggenheim for a few days.  This will be my 10th consecutive summer at camp!  The following week, my cousin is getting married and I am a bridesmaid!  It’s definitely a good thing that I will be home soon because I have yet to see my dress…

To everyone who has been following my blog this summer, thank you so much!  Even though it was a requirement for my internship, I enjoyed working on the blog.
