Shivering St. Rosers: Freezin for a Reason!

This past weekend, a group of students from Saint Rose participated in the Polar Plunge to support the Special Olympics of New York State. Each year, hundreds of participants from throughout the capital region ascend on Lake George to submerge themselves into the cold waters of Lake George. Each participant fund raise’s in order to be able to plunge!

This is the second year that St. Rose has had a team at the Polar Plunge. Elizabeth Corey, Graduate Student, organized teams for both years and was successfully able to reach personal and team goals! This year, The “Shivering St. Rosers” raised $700, exceeding their goal of $350! This past weekend, team members got together and took the plunge! We are proud of our efforts and happy to help the Special Olympics of Greater New York! Overall. the entire event raised $75,000 for the Special Olympics!!
