Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Sphere Magazine Begins Third Year at The College of Saint Rose

From its campus newspaper to its official blog, The College of Saint Rose offers students a number of print and online outlets that focus on issues that matter to them. These projects also allow contributors to develop and refine skills that will serve them well as professionals. The Saint Rose community recently added another publication to its list of student-run media outlets: Sphere Magazine.

The group managing the publication says Sphere is created for Saint Rose students by Saint Rose students, to bring awareness to current events that directly relate to and impact student life. Sphere’s current staff is composed of undergraduates majoring in everything from public communication, to graphic design, to biology, but the group hopes to attract an even larger number of diverse contributors.

Sphere Magazine’s managing members led their first meeting for the month of February tonight as a number of interested students looked on. They took some time out to tell me a bit about their publication, and why they feel more Saint Rose students should get involved in it.

If you’re a Saint Rose student who is interested in becoming a contributor for Sphere, email Chief Designer John Fisher and Creative Director Shena Louissaint at spheremagazine.strose@gmail.com.
