Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Author: Jeff Schenck

I came to Saint Rose in March of 2006, making this my sixth year working as a Student Solution Center Representative here at the College. I graduated from Siena College with a BA in philosophy and I'm currently pursuing an MSED in educational psychology at Saint Rose. When I'm not working or reading for class, I stay busy leading the Schenectady Pipe Band and trying to stop my wife from buying us a puppy (she keeps sending me Adopt a Lab pictures). It’s Finally Here . . . Financial Aid Awareness Month!

Turns out February is brimming with causes to champion, figures to celebrate, and events to attend.  A certain weather-prognosticating rodent, a winged, arrow-wielding emissary of affection and a couple of dead presidents’ birthdays get most of the press, which is a shame because they divert our national attention from such solemn and consequential observances as National Grapefruit Month, International Dog…

Financial Aid Refund Checks Coming Soon!

The eagerly awaited disbursement of financial aid refunds is upon us!  The first round of financial aid refund checks will be available this Friday, January 27th.  This is a heady time of dizzying highs and bitter lows, depending on whether students’ hopes of finding a refund check waiting for them at the Bursar are realized or dashed.  Well, maybe it…
