Get to know Jack:
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is seeing players improve together, win together, and enjoy time together. The main reason I went into coaching is I had more of a passion to help players improve and win than going after winning myself.
What’s something you want students to know about you?
I’m here to help. I’ve been working in esports for four to five years now and have made a lot of great connections through it. However this is my first full-time job in esports. I worked as a pharmacy technician out of college and kept putting time into esports because I was passionate about it. Everything might not work out in the time frame you want it to, but putting in the effort pays off over time.
If you could give students one piece of advice to carry them through their time here, what would it be?
Make great connections while you are here at Saint Rose. Professional connections, great friendships, mentorships, internships, etc. Great connections pay off big time in the long run and college is a great time to make a lot of them.
