Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

I keep myself busy as a blogger…

As some of my readers may know, this is not the only blog I contribute to. I work as a blogger for three separate blogs. I have been working as a financial literacy blogger for FinLitTV.com since March 2011. The website is directed to Gen Y: which is all of you college students out there! If you ever wonder what a mutual fund is or how the stock market really works, I suggest you check out FinLitTV! Check out some of my posts and let me know what you think!

I also work for another Saint Rose blog: The College of Saint Rose Graduate Admissions Blog. As a graduate assistant for Graduate Admissions, I have been working on the Graduate Admissions Blog as one of my main projects. In October, I redesigned the blog and launched it with a focus on writing about graduate students, faculty, and alumni experiences at Saint Rose. If you have any suggestions for posts, let me know! I’m always looking for graduate students, professors, and recent alumni to interview.

Having a B.A. in Communications, I love writing for three different blogs. Each blog has a different feel and it’s been a great way to practice writing to unique audiences. If you are not a blogger, I highly recommend getting involved in the blogosphere! You don’t have to write for a professional blog either. There are several websites, such as WordPress or Blogger, where you can create a free account and start your own personal blog. If you have a personal blog, leave a link in the comments below. I’d love to check out your blogs!

I hope all of you are having a great, relaxing holiday season. Enjoy the last couple weeks of break—I’ll be seeing you on campus again soon!
