The above pictures are one of the most common scenes for an admission counselor during travel season. They are a typical college fair set up for The College of Saint Rose. With that being said myself and fellow counselors in my office try to find a minute to pull of the road and capture some of the beautiful scenery we find ourselves frantically passing by going from high school to high school trying to be on time for all of our visits and fairs.
I would like to share with you some “Scenes from the road” so far from our fall admissions travel season. These pictures are a collaboration from counselors traveling in the areas of Connecticut, Long Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New Hampshire. As mentioned our counselors spend about 2 months on the road meeting with students, their families and guidance counselors. These are not all the areas that we cover but merely just a handful of them.
Without further ado, scenes from the road. Enjoy!
Ok so that last one lets you all know it’s not always sunshine and rainbows on the road, we get bad weather just like everyone else. If only mother nature put a bubble around admissions counselors, only allowing us to have beautiful days everyday, I wish!
Ok, back to the pretty pictures.
This next one I am VERY JEALOUS about. Christine sent me this picture of a fair she did in Long Island which was held outside…on the water…on a beautiful day. So not “fair”, pun intended.
Last but definitely not least, I came across this at a high school visit I did today in Connecticut. This teacher knows how to market science to teenage girls. I legitimately laughed out loud.
A special thanks to Caitlin, Christine and Dianne for sending me these great pictures from your travels. As always I emphasize to everyone that you SHOULD NOT TAKE PICTURES WHILE DRIVING. Seriously, be safe out there. Until next time, see you at a high school near you!
