If you are the kind of person who enjoys learning something new everyday, whether a simple random fact or something more profound, The Academic Minute may be a program worth tuning into. The Academic Minute is produced by WAMC Northeast Public Radio and “features professors from top institutions around the world, delving into topics from the serious to the light-hearted, keeping listeners abreast of what’s new and exciting in the academy.”
The Academic Minute is one of my favorite segments played on WAMC, but I especially like it when I tune in and get to hear that a professor from my own alma mater is featured. Thanks to a state-of-the-art radio studio in the Hearst Center for Communications and Interactive Media building, Saint Rose has produced clips to send to WAMC (special thanks to Steve Felano for his expertise in producing our most recent series). Of course, we wouldn’t have the ability to send these clips without having an amazing team of faculty with a passion for producing academic research at the highest of standards. So, a sincere thank you to each and every professor on the Saint Rose campus.
Wondering what Saint Rose clips I’m talking about? Here you go:
