Bringing It Home – The Saint Rose Blog

Welcome Back!

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to do a quick write up and welcome everyone back to campus. I hope you’ve enjoyed your summer and had time to relax, have fun, and unwind. It is certainly hard to believe that the end of my first week of graduate school is upon me. If you think summer flew, just wait until you finish undergrad; It seems as though time is perpetually flying! For those of you who are new to the school either as a freshman or transfer student, I would like to welcome you to Saint Rose. I hope you’re not completely overwhelmed with classes and work etc. Saint Rose has so much to offer, so be sure to get out and get involved and if you haven’t already, try and check out some of the awesome Week of Welcome (WOW) events!

I have already attended two of my three graduate classes and am extraordinarily excited for the semester. As I’ve mentioned, I am in the Professional Special Education graduate program at Saint Rose. This program will allow for me to make my certification “professional” and will allow for me to focus more deeply into a specific area of Special Education. I have chosen Autism as my area of study for the next year and a half! I cannot wait to work with the students in Albany, as well as in the Clinic at Saint Rose.

That’s all I have for now. Best of luck with your new semester and enjoy the fantastic warm weather while it lasts! Before you know it, it will be “hoodie” season in Albany!!!
