Why Saint Rose?

As the collegiate school year is winding down and the time for college hunting begins (for those seeking undergraduate and graduate programs), I feel that it’s important to brag about our wonderful institution and let everyone know why we love going here. Here are my personal Top 4 reasons why I think that The College of Saint Rose is an amazing institution to consider for undergraduate and graduate work

  1. Saint Rose is always working to expand physically and with our programs. This year, we now have 70 undergraduate programs, 53 masters programs, and 15 dual degree programs, which means that students can receive a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in 5 years.
  2. All of our buildings are AWESOME. We’ve opened 29 new buildings in the past 15 years, and in the past year alone, we’ve opened two new buildings – The Heuther School of Business and Centennial Hall (of which I can officially say I will be the RA of for the 2014-2015 school year! WOO!). If you’ve ever been inside of these new and updated buildings, you can agree that these buildings are beautiful and definitely enhance the “Saint Rose Experience.”

  3. 98% of the students that attend Saint Rose receive a scholarship of some sort that is funded by Alumni of the college. AKA, we support each other even after we graduate. WOO!
  4. We are a family. When you get right down to it, Saint Rose’s small campus creates a community filled with positivity and support. Everyone knows everyone on campus, and (for the most part, no one is perfect), we all love each other and want to see each other succeed. Ask anyone on campus and they can verify this fact, I promise.

So why Saint Rose? I think the real question is, why not Saint Rose?
