What’s your favorite part of your job?
Knowing I am helping students and alumni achieve their career goals! Career planning takes a lot of effort, but when you break it down step by step and understand the process, it becomes a lot easier.
What’s something you want students to know about you?
I am a career changer! I have my undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science from SUNY Cortland and was envisioning working as a Speech Language Pathologist. However, after I wasn’t completely happy, I realized I wanted to pursue a career in Higher Education because of my on-campus involvement. It is true – passion = loving your job, and your experiences truly shape you.
If you could give students one piece of advice to carry them through their time here, what would it be?
Take risks. This is hard for some, but it is necessary for personal growth. One of my core beliefs is every student has the potential to succeed, it is just a matter of unlocking that potential. You are here at Saint Rose because WE believe in you, now it’s time to believe in yourself and what you have to offer the world!
