Ethan Lalli ‘20, a student veteran who served four years in the United States Marine Corps, is enrolled in the college’s 2-in-4 program, working toward both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration. He is a “big fan” of the College’s Any Time, Any Way, Flex MBA format, which allows him to take classes either in person, via livestream, or later online. An active student on campus, Lalli is a member of Saint Rose’s chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a co-ed sales, marketing, and management professional fraternity, and a member of the College’s Student Veterans Association (SVA).

Lalli said that while he was in the military, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012. He decided to attend Saint Rose because it is a Yellow Ribbon School and offered an articulation agreement with the community college he attended and the opportunity to receive two degrees in four years.

“The College has further enabled me to be successful as a student veteran through the Veteran Center on campus,” Lalli said. “The Veteran Center has been a great support for me during my time at Saint Rose, aiding me through my transition from Infantry Marine to College graduate.”

Lalli enjoys all aspects of the Huether School of Business. No matter what class he is taking, Lalli said he finds it valuable and interesting. Currently, he is taking courses in sales management, consumer behavior, marketing management, marketing research, and production and quality management.

One of his greatest achievements at Saint Rose is earning and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

“My experience at Saint Rose has been excellent, and the school of business has made up the majority of it,” Lalli said.

After he graduates in December and settles into the workforce, Lalli hopes to establish his own business and provide tactical firearms and emergency medical training to military and law enforcement.
